Pre-Season Details: What You Can Farm Before August 18
Blizzard’s pre-season guide covers Great Vault credit, Mythic 0 Champion gear, Delves, Tidebound Grotto World Lair, and when Voidcores return.
Blizzard published Midnight: Curse of Ula’tek Pre-Season Details for the week between patch day and Season 2. After 12.1 maintenance, Season 2 is technically underway — but several rewards stay locked until August 18.
Great Vault and crafting
- Pre-season Vault still pays out from your last Season 1 week
- Season 2 Vault credit starts accruing immediately; claim those rewards on August 18
- Crafting Sparks begin dropping in pre-season
- First Season 2 Vault: World row capped at Champion 3/6 (later Vaults up to Hero 1/6)
- Voidcore bonus rolls skip the first Season 2 Vault; they return the week of August 25
Content checklist
- Outdoor: Curse Surges, Vaults of Atal’Utek, Pinnacle Caches (Season 2 Veteran)
- Dungeons: new pool including Altar of Fangs on Heroic / Mythic 0 — Mythic 0 gives Champion 1/6 on a weekly lockout for that week only
- Delves: tiers 1–11 and ? Nemesis
- Lair: Tidebound Grotto World difficulty (Season 2 Veteran BoP, weekly lockout)
- Prey: Hard Mode available (Season 2 Veteran)
Season 1 rated PvP ends at 10:00 p.m. PDT the night before patch maintenance; M+ and PvP percentile cutoffs lock when realms go down.
